1Acceptance of these Terms#

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of Parking Reminder ("we", "our", "us") governing your use of the Parking Reminder app and its related services (the "App").

By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2Licence#

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App or attempt to extract its source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3Your account#

Some features (cloud sync, fuel-price alerts, subscription restore) require an account. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since sign-in uses a code sent to that address.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to create an account.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). This erases the account and the data attached to it from our servers, permanently. It does not cancel a subscription — only the App Store can do that.

4Premium subscription#

Parking Reminder Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your App Store account.

Length: You choose the billing period on the purchase screen — currently monthly or yearly. It renews automatically for the same period until you cancel.
Free trial: Where a free trial is offered, it is stated on the purchase screen and in the App Store payment sheet before you confirm. Unless you cancel before it ends, the trial converts automatically into a paid subscription at the price shown. One trial per person per subscription group.
Price: The exact price and currency are always shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store payment sheet before you confirm. Prices differ by country.
Renewal: Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel first.
Cancelling: You can cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
Price changes: If we change the price, the store will ask for your consent before the new price applies to you.

We never see or store your card details. Purchases, renewals and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple.

5Refunds#

Purchases are made through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple under their policy; we cannot issue or refuse them ourselves. Refund requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.

This does not affect any statutory rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

6Safe use while driving#

The App may show directions, a map and voice guidance. It is an aid, not a substitute for your own attention and judgement.

Do not operate the App while driving. Always obey traffic law, road signs and actual road conditions, which take precedence over anything the App shows. Routes, one-way streets, restrictions and closures may be out of date or wrong.

You are solely responsible for parking legally, for observing local parking rules and time limits, and for any fine or penalty you receive. A parking timer or notification is a convenience reminder and may be delayed or missed; it is not a guarantee.

7Third-party data#

Fuel prices, EV-charger locations and availability, opening hours, maps and routing come from third-party sources. We pass this information on as we receive it and cannot guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current.

Prices in particular change frequently and may be out of date by the time you arrive. Always check the price displayed at the station itself before refuelling or charging.

8Acceptable use#

You agree not to use the App to break the law, to interfere with or overload our servers, to attempt unauthorised access to any account or system, or to scrape, bulk-download or resell data obtained through the App.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms.

9Availability#

We aim to keep the App and its services available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features that depend on the network, on your device's location services, or on third-party providers may be unavailable at times.

We may add, change or withdraw features. If we discontinue a paid feature entirely, you may cancel your subscription as described above.

10Disclaimer and liability#

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee.

For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation that is essential to the purpose of these Terms and on whose fulfilment you may rely (a cardinal obligation), and then limited to the damage that was typical and foreseeable when the agreement was made.

The App is a reminder and orientation aid. Parking rules, signs, fees and maximum stays on site always take precedence; within the limits above we are not liable for parking fines, towing costs or loss caused by inaccurate third-party data.

If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory rights granted by the law of your country of residence.

11Privacy#

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12Changes to these Terms#

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the App. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13Governing law#

These Terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
